Rin Rios is a film and digital photographer that uses their interest in writing to help inform their art. 

Rin’s fascination with photography began at a young age due to their grandfather. They recall watching their grandfather use his camera at all of their family events. He would document and preserve every moment as if he was trying to find something more. That is what started Rin on the path of learning more about art and eventually studying photography in college. 

As Rin grows as an artist and a person they realize that people and places are meant to be looked at beyond the surface level. Through photography they aim to capture moments that have a meaning others may not see at first glance. Looking at something or someone and actually seeing that person or thing are two different experiences. They want to slow down the fast paced feeling of the world so people can observe and feel all that the world is saying. 

Most recently Rin has taken a deeper interest in how being a queer person intertwines with their relationships and the world around them.
